Thai Massage Introduction-  12 Hands-On NCBTMB and Florida State CE hours

This two-day class is designed to give you the flavor of Traditional Thai Massage, and it is perfect for those interested in exploring a new modality but unsure if this ancient technique is right for you. You will learn about the history, tradition and energetic basis underlying Traditional Thai Massage, along with learning practical treatments from each of the four positions (front, sitting, side-lying and back) through demonstrations and hands-on practice. The techniques taught in class are designed for you to immediately incorporate into your existing massage practice.

Traditional Thai Massage - Level I –   24 CE hours Thai Massage Front Position

This is the first part of an 80-hour course in Traditional Thai Massage. This first segment (24 hours) explores the history, development and foundations of Thai Massage as a healing art and provides students with the training and hands-on practice to perform a Traditional Thai Massage in the front position. Emphasis throughout the course is placed on proper body mechanics, clear explanations and demonstrations of every step and the healing benefits, indications and contraindications associated with the different positions. Course materials are provided to all students and include explanations, step-by-step instructions and ample photos to present the material clearly.

Traditional Thai Massage - Level II –    24 CE hours Thai Massage Sitting, Side-Lying and Back Positions 

This is the second portion of an 80-hour course in Traditional Thai Massage. In this, the second part of the course (24 hours) students learn the foundations of performing Traditional Thai Massage in the Sitting, Side-Lying and Back positions. Emphasis throughout the course is placed on proper body mechanics, clear explanations and demonstrations of every step and the healing benefits, indications and contraindications associated with the different positions. Course materials are provided to all students and include explanations, step-by-step instructions and ample photos to present the material clearly.

Traditional Thai Massage - Level III –  32 CE hours Thai Advanced

This is the third part of our 80 Continuing Education course in Traditional Thai Massage. This 32-hour segment reviews and expands on the material from the first two segments, fine tuning the students' knowledge, hands-on experience, quality of touch and transitions and introducing advanced positions and variations of positions not previously covered; it will cover all the selected positions that can be applied on the massage table as well. Emphasis throughout the course is placed on proper body mechanics, clear explanations and demonstrations of every step and the healing benefits, indications and contraindications associated with the different positions. Course materials are provided to all students and include explanations, step-by-step instructions and ample photos to present the material clearly.

Thai on the Table Class - Levels I & II- 16 CE hours/

Thai Massage is traditionally done on a mat on the floor, but much of the work can easily be adapted to the table. In these classes, you will learn a little about the foundations of Traditional Thai Massage and how to incorporate Thai techniques into your existing practice. Thai on the Table- Level I will cover selected positions from the front and back protocols; Thai on the Table- Level II will cover selected positions from the sitting and side lying protocols. This type of work is especially useful as a variety of sports massage.
